Our meat processing facility is federally registered and inspected by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Our facility has also achieved and maintained certification to FSSC 22000, a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) accredited scheme. As this certification has worldwide credibility, in order to meet the GFSI requirements you need much more than just an acceptable standard. Control is focussed on what is really necessary, providing confidence to our customers that we can identify and control food safety hazards. A stringent, annual 3rd party audit against the standard ensures on-going compliance as well as continual improvement.

Our multistep program includes:

  • Testing protocols that not just meet but exceed regulatory requirements.
  • Full cooking of all food products.
  • Physical separation of raw and cooked to avoid cross contamination.
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan approval by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency
